Meet the crew!

Hello.  My name is Heather and I live near Indianapolis, IN with my husband James and our three min pins, Bella, Luna and Penny.

This is James and I.  We have been married for eight years.  He works as a front end supervisor for Target and I currently am a stay at home wife, doing babysitting on the side and of course my collar making.

This is Bella.  She is a 7 year old, female, black and tan Miniature Pinscher.   We got her as our joint gift for our first anniversary.  She is very spoiled, incredibly smart (too smart!), an attention hog, and a huge brat.  But she is the biggest sweet heart and my big advocate when people say that Min Pins are naturally mean.  Just goes to show what a little socialization can accomplish :)  I started making collars because of this dog right here.  She was my inspiration.  I was tired of having my options limited.  I wanted a wider collar, I hated the skinny ones.  But if I wanted to go wider, that meant I had to settle for a collar that was way too big and had tons of slack.  So one day, out of frustration at another failed attempt at collar shopping, I did a little research on how to make collars.  I headed to the craft store, picked myself up a sewing machine, and created Bella's Pretty Collars!

This is Luna.  She is a 6 year old, female, chocolate and tan Min Pin.  She is the half sister of Luna.  She is also very bratty and incredibly smart.  But Luna does so in a different way.  Bella is all about the "I'm so cute how can you be mad at me?"  Where as Luna will just knock the trash can over and look at you like "So what?"  Luna used to hate being held and she hated snuggling.  But for some reason, within about the last two years, she's suddenly realized how awesome some snuggles are.  But it is only on her terms, and usually only when she first wakes up.  Her favorite game is hide and go seek.  She loves when I hide downstairs and my husband lets her loose.  She gets very excited when I jump out from around a door or corner and "scare" her.  She barks with excitement and then runs away so I can chase her.

This is Penny.  She is a 2 year old, female, black and tan Min Pin.  Penny is what you might call a reject puppy.  She was dumped on us when she was just 7 weeks old.  Her original owners had only had her for a short two weeks.  Penny was very sick and knocking on deaths door.  They didn't want to deal with having a sick puppy.  They knew we had two min pins already, and asked if we'd take her in.  So we did and nursed her back to health.  She was in tip top shape in no time! We had no intention of having another min pin.  Two was enough already!  So we found her a home with some friends of ours.  But, about a year later, their life circumstances changed and they could no longer care for her.   So I said we could take her back.  We had all the intentions of finding her another home.  But I found myself being too picky.  And soon I found my husband being just as picky!  We had plenty of offers and we knew plenty of people looking.  I just kept finding fault with every one of them.  I wasn't convinced they'd keep her forever and I didn't want to see her come back to us a 3rd time!  So a month went by, than 3, than 6 and before I knew it an entire year had passed.  We finally decided, that she was ours forever :)  She is a huge spazz and will run away in terror if a bottle cap falls on her back. But yet she will take on the shop vac, attacking it full force, with no fear what so ever.  She's a strange one alright, but I love her tons.  She is very small for a min pin, more than likely due to her rocky start.  She is nowhere close to standard, her chest is too small, she has no muscle mass, and her ears lay funny.  But her attitude is all min pin, and that's all that matters to me!
